Recognised Activities / Courses

Under the CPD Scheme, training activities / courses in the market are classified and recognised on the basis of two criteria, namely the “Content” (classified as “Core” or “Non-core”) and “Learning Models” (classified as “Official” or “Unofficial”) of these activities / courses. The hours of participation will be accepted by the CPD Scheme as “Recognised CPD Hours”as long as the training activities / courses participated meet the criteria of “Content” and “Learning Models” mentioned above.

Licensees may also participate in training activities / courses pre-recognised by the CPD Scheme in order to attain recognised CPD hours, including:

To encourage continuing education, the Property Management Services Authority has been collaborating with Government departments, public bodies and industry organisations to arrange various property management related seminars to strengthen the knowledge and skills of the industry.  Licensees may participate in the activities / courses organised by the Property Management Services Authority (including the Property Management Services Authority Specified Courses) to attain recognised CPD hours under the CPD Scheme.

Activities / courses organised by the PMSA Recognised Professional Bodies and Specified Property Management Company Organisations are pre-recognised in each year and will be updated continuously within the year such that licencees may participate and attain recognised CPD hours under the CPD Scheme.

Activities / Courses organised by the Government or public bodies, as well as courses offered by education institutions which are regulated by the Education Bureau or accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications are automatically recognised under the Scheme and require no advance approval by the Property Management Services Authority.  Licensees may add their participation record directly into the e-Recording system launched by the Property Management Services Authority under the CPD Scheme upon completed of these activities/courses.

Application Procedures
Organisations, associations or institutions which organise training activities / courses for the property management industry and seeking recognition under the Property Management Services Authority Continuing Professional Development Scheme should submit an application via the electronic application form at least one month prior to the commencement of the activity/course. 

Once approved, recognised activities/courses will be listed in the PMSA Licensee System, providing a reference for licensees to record their participation and CPD hours.

Follow-up Actions 
To ensure the training quality, organisers must compile and summarise participants' feedback (if any) and email it to the PMSA Professional Development Division (pd@pmsa.org.hk) within 14 days of the completion of the activity/course. Please state the relevant activity/course code in the email subject.  If the organiser does not currently collect participant feedback, please use the PMSA’s questionnaire template to conduct the survey, and summarise the survey results in the PMSA's specified format and submit them via email within the aforementioned deadline.
