Required Information and Documents

Required prescribed information and documents to be submitted for property management company licence application include:

Prescribed information

  1. information on the identity of the applicant;
  2. information on the identity of the applicant's directors, if applicable;
  3. information on the identity of the applicant's partners, if applicable;
  4. information of the identity of the licensed property management practitioners engaged by the applicant;
  5. contact information of the applicant;
  6. information on whether the applicant is a suitable person to hold the licence;
  7. information on whether the applicant’s directors are suitable persons to be associated with the applicant’s business of providing property management services, if applicable;
  8. the address, type and number of flats of each property for which property management services are provided by the applicant, if applicable;
  9. the following information of each property for which property management services are provided by the applicant, if applicable, —
    • for a property with an owners’ organisation — the name and address of the owners’ organisation; or
    • for a property without an owners’ organisation — the address of each flat in the property;
  10. if a licensed property management company is engaged by the applicant to provide property management services, information on the identity of that licensed property management company;
  11. if the applicant is engaged as a subcontractor to provide property management services, the address and number of flats of each property for which property management services are provided by the applicant as a subcontractor;
  12. any other information specified by the Property Management Services Authority.

Prescribed documents

  1. a copy of the certificate of incorporation of the applicant, if applicable;
  2. a copy of the business registration certificate of the applicant, if applicable, and a copy of the certified extracts of information on the business register that relates to the applicant, issued under the Business Registration Ordinance (Cap. 310), if applicable;
  3. documents showing the information on the identity of the applicant’s directors such as a copy of the notification of changes of secretary and directors and the latest annual return of the applicant that has been delivered to the Registrar of Companies in accordance with the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622), if applicable; and
  4. any other documents specified by the Property Management Services Authority.

Required prescribed information and documents to be submitted for property management practitioner licence application include:

Prescribed information

  1. personal and contact information of the applicant;
  2. information on the applicant’s academic qualifications, if applicable;
  3. information on the applicant’s qualifications obtained through the Recognition of Prior Learning mechanism under the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework, if applicable;
  4. information on the applicant’s professional qualifications, if applicable;
  5. information on the applicant’s relevant work experience in property management;
  6. information on whether the applicant is or was a director of or partner in a licensed property management company;
  7. information on whether the applicant is a suitable person to hold the licence;
  8. information on the applicant’s completion of a course specified by the Property Management Services Authority for holders of provisional property management practitioner licence, if applicable; and
  9. any other information specified by the Property Management Services Authority.

Prescribed documents

  1. the identity card or passport of the applicant;
  2. documents showing the applicant’s academic qualifications, if applicable;
  3. documents showing the applicant’s qualifications obtained through the Recognition of Prior Learning mechanism under the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework, if applicable;
  4. documents showing the applicant’s professional qualifications, if applicable;
  5. documents showing the applicant’s relevant work experience in property management;
  6. documents showing the applicant’s completion of a course specified by the Property Management Services Authority for holders of provisional property management practitioner licence, if applicable;
  7. a recent photograph of the applicant in the specifications specified by the Property Management Services Authority;
  8. documents showing the applicant’s residential address and, if applicable, correspondence address; and
  9. any other documents specified by the Property Management Services Authority.
