Property Management Services Authority Appoints “ProMan”
as “Property Invigilator” Ambassador
Public Invited to Free Exhibition of “Property Invigilator” Image Design Competition Entries
“ProMan (物管俠),” the champion entry from the tertiary institution category of the Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) “Property Invigilator” Image Design Competition, has officially been appointed as the ambassador for the property management (PM) industry, which will assist in promoting industry development and enhancing the professional status of the industry. From now until 31 August (daily from 10AM to 8PM), the public may visit the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) in Tseung Kwan O to closely view the exhibition of entries from the “Property Invigilator” Image Design Competition free of charge, including “ProMan” and other outstanding works.
The design of “ProMan” draws inspiration from the PMSA logo, featuring a distinctive “house-shaped head” that symbolises the close connection between properties and PM practitioners. Its larger head and relatively slender body represent the extensive professional knowledge of PM practitioners, who are always ready to serve so as to ensure normal and smooth operation in our daily life. With a lifelike figure, friendly appearance and agile movement, “ProMan” embodies flexibility and efficiency. It wears a PM Practitioner warrant card to signify professionalism, reliability and integrity.

“ProMan” is fully gender compatible and can be portrayed as either male or female. When facing the diverse challenges of PM work, “ProMan” adapts to various roles as needed, flexibly handling tasks across facility management, cleaning and security, maintenance and repair, financial management, and the use of advanced technology. Versatile and capable in all respects, “ProMan” can also form an elite team that upholds the three core values of the PM industry – “Quality,” “Integrity,” and “Advancement”, and invigilates health, wealth, and property safety of the public with wholehearted dedication, contributing positively to a community where people can work and live in harmony.
Dr. James WONG, Chairman of the PMSA, said, “The professional, reliable and flexible image of “ProMan” reflects the commitment of PM practitioners in delivering high quality and professional PM services to the public on daily basis. Under the PM industry licensing regime, Hong Kong has over 800 licensed PM companies and more than 15,000 licensed PM practitioners, leading over 200,000 frontline staff who work diligently to safeguard our properties and health, bearing the crucial responsibilities of ‘Property Invigilators’. As the statutory regulatory body for the PM industry in Hong Kong, the PMSA will continue to dedicate itself towards strengthening collaboration with all sectors of society, uniting efforts to promote the industry’s role in safeguarding our living environment and fostering a caring and harmonious community which enhances the public sense of well-being and fulfilment. The PMSA will leverage “ProMan” as its ambassador to further strengthen its promotional efforts.
The PMSA jointly organised the “Property Invigilator” Image Design Competition with the HKDI and the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong to encourage tertiary and secondary students to design a promotional ambassador image for PM practitioners. The competition closed for entries on 30 April this year, receiving over 500 submissions. A professional judging panel, comprising PMSA members and representatives from the two supporting institutions, selected the winners. Results were announced and awards presented at the “Property Invigilator” Image Design Competition Awards Presentation Ceremony cum PM Industry Continuing Professional Development Seminar held on 1 August 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
“ProMan” is designed by CHAN Hei Yu, a student of HKDI, who won the competition in the tertiary institution category and “ProMan” was also voted the “Most Popular Entry” by the PM industry and the public.
