Property Management Services Authority Led Delegation to Visit 2023 China International Property Management Industry Expo and Housing and Construction Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality in Shenzhen Promoting Collaboration and Exchange of the Property Management Industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong- Macao Greater Bay Area

The Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) led a delegation consisting of PMSA members and representatives of PMSA Recognised Professional Bodies (RPBs) and property management (PM) industry bodies today (13 October) to participate in the 2023 China International Property Management Industry Expo (Expo) held in Shenzhen and also visit the Housing and Construction Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality (the Bureau) in order to promote collaboration and exchange of the PM industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

Vice Chairperson of the PMSA Prof. Eddie HUI was invited by the Bureau to deliver speech at the Property Management Innovation And Development Forum of the Expo. The PMSA also set up a booth in the GBA zone (「粵港澳大灣區物業特色館」) of the Expo to introduce the PM industry licensing regime of Hong Kong and the work of the PMSA, highlighting that since the completion of the three-year transitional period of the PM industry licensing regime as from 1 August 2023, the PM industry of Hong Kong has entered into a new era whereby all relevant property management companies (PMCs) and practitioners (PMPs) are licensed and are advancing towards enhanced professionalism.

The PMSA delegation also visited the Bureau to conduct exchange meeting with Bureau Leader Ms ZHU Wenfang and her team. Representatives of the Home Affairs Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government were also present.
Vice Chairperson HUI said, “Under the PM industry licensing regime of Hong Kong, over 750 PMCs and more than 12,000 PMPs have already been licensed, becoming the first batch of PMCs and PMPs in the GBA whereby their professionalism has been assessed objectively and is in compliance with statutory requirement. This major professional workforce will contribute actively towards the future development of the community and will be invaluable asset and resource of Hong Kong as well as the whole GBA. As the statutory authority of the PM industry of Hong Kong, the PMSA will work together with various stakeholders of the PM industry to actively promote expansion of the PM industry of Hong Kong and facilitate collaboration among the cities in the GBA, for integration and mutual development, such that members of the public within the GBA could be provided with PM services of enhanced quality and professionalism.”

The Expo is one of the largest and most influential PM industry exhibitions in the Mainland with the aim to foster modernisation, advancement and innovation in the PM industry. This year’s Expo will be held for three days during 12-14 October at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, with participation from over 200 Chinese and international brands and corporations.
