Property Management Services Authority Appeals for Property Management Industry to Actively Support 2025 Legislative Council General Election
Vote and Build the Future Together
The 2025 Legislative Council General Election will be held on 7 December 2025. The HKSAR Government and the Electoral Affairs Commission held the 2025 Legislative Council General Election kick-off ceremony today, officially launching the election for the eighth-term Legislative Council. The Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) fully supports the election and appeals for the property management (PM) industry to actively participate and make necessary arrangements to facilitate employees who are required to work on polling day to go to polling stations and cast their vote.
Dr James WONG, Chairperson of the PMSA, said, “An efficiently functioning Legislative Council not only facilitates Government administration but is also crucial to improvements in people’s livelihood. Clear and up-to-date regulations empower PM practitioners to better fulfill their roles as ‘Property Invigilators,’ ensuring the smooth operation of our daily lives while safeguarding our property and public health. I earnestly urge all members of the PM industry to cast their votes on the election day, and to encourage their families and friends to actively vote together at polling stations to fulfill civic responsibilities, driving together to build a better home for all.”
The PMSA will soon issue letters to over 800 licensed PM companies in Hong Kong, urging them to display promotional posters within properties they manage to encourage their service users to actively participate in voting. The PMSA also encourages PM companies to provide flexible work arrangements on the election day and to facilitate their staff going to polling stations, and enabling them to vote and fulfill their civic responsibilities. This includes allowing on-duty staff to temporarily leave their posts in an orderly manner to vote, arranging sufficient standby staff, and providing transportation support. Additionally, the PMSA will distribute election promotional leaflets to members of the public visiting its office and display posters within its premises to further enhance awareness and encourage both employees and the general public to participate in the election.
Dr. WONG added, “The PMSA also calls for all PMSA members and staff of the Executive Office to actively vote on the election day, demonstrating their support through action, responding to the citywide call for participation, promoting stable social development and building the future together.”
Voting will take place from 8:30am to 10:30pm on the election day. The Government will set up around 600 ordinary polling stations across Hong Kong for voters in geographical and functional constituencies.
