(Hong Kong - 18 December 2020) The Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) is going to launch its revamped website (the new website) with the new domain name pmsa.org.hk tomorrow (19 December), with a view to enhancing user experience and strengthening communication between the PMSA and the public.
The New Website
The new website provides interactive experience to users. By clicking on the four main buttons on the homepage including “Licensing Regime”, “Regulatory Framework”, “Professional Development” and “Information Centre”, users are able to access the latest information about PMSA’s key functions. The “Latest News” on the homepage and the newly added “Promotional Material” section provide users with convenience and easy access to information and/or download various PMSA’s promotional material such as promotional video and leaflets, etc., thus enhancing user experience by making it more convenient for users to obtain the required information.
In order to strengthen communication with the public, the new website features key enhancement in the section “Contact Us”. Members of the general public can input and make enquiries through the new website while the PMSA can systematically and efficiently deal with the enquiries.
Apart from the new website’s enhanced design and functions highlighted above, the upgraded version of the register in respect of the licensing regime for the property management (PM) industry is also launched. Mr Tony TSE, the PMSA Chairperson said, “As of yesterday (17 December), the PMSA has issued over 1,300 PM licences. Members of the general public can now search information about licensed PM companies and practitioners via the new website, which can in turn increase the transparency of operation in the industry and strengthen monitoring and regulatory effect. This can help drive the development of the industry for enhancement in quality and professionalism, while the public can access more comprehensive information and with greater protection when selecting and engaging PM services. The upgraded version of the register is equipped with a user-friendly search engine. Relevant information can be searched by selecting the following buttons: ‘Licence Status’, ‘Licensee Name’, ‘Licence Number’, ‘Type of Licence’, as well as ‘Number of Flats for which Property Management Services are Provided’.”
The New Website Domain
In addition to launching its new website, the PMSA also changes its website domain name to pmsa.org.hk so as to meet future development and enhance PMSA’s image. The new domain name comes from the English abbreviation of the PMSA, with a view to facilitating easy and convenient search by users.
The PMSA will provide timely information to the public by updating the content of the website in order to keep the public abreast of the latest development of the PM industry. The PMSA will also continue to improve the functions at the website so as to enhance user experience.
