The Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) is the statutory body established under the Property Management Services Ordinance (Cap 626)(PMSO) and is tasked to regulate and promote the development of the property management (PM) industry. Applications are invited for the following position:

Assistant Manager (Complaints and Enforcement) (Temporary) (Ref. No.: PMSA-AMCE-17/26)

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Manager (Complaints and Enforcement), the appointee will be required to:

  1. Handle complaints and conduct investigations relating to suspected disciplinary offences and other offences under the PMSO;

  2. Carry out investigations and gather evidence (including conducting interviews, requesting for information, etc.) for alleged disciplinary offences in accordance with the PMSO and other relevant ordinances;

  3. Prepare various case reports as well as statistical and management-related reports;

  4. Liaise with other law enforcement agencies and refer cases to relevant agencies when required;

  5. Conduct enforcement inspections;

  6. Prepare for and attend disciplinary /appeal hearings and court as a witness; and

  7. Undertake ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  1. A recognised university degree or equivalent qualification;

  2. A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in complaint handling, law enforcement, investigation or regulatory field;

  3. Ability to interpret and enforce the relevant laws and requirements;

  4. Experience in regulatory bodies, authorities, public administration or relevant industries will be desirable;

  5. A good team player with a strong sense of responsibility, good interpersonal and problem solving skills;

  6. Positive, pragmatic and able to work under pressure; and

  7. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

  8. Immediately availability is highly preferred.

Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position is offered on a temporary contract of not less than 6 months. For the successful candidate, future employment may be considered based on performance and organisational needs.
